Since v4.74 update any new courses imported cannot be transferred to my devices

The connect app has been working find on my Nokia xr20 android phone , but since the January 11th v4.74 update if I select any new courses added to connect after the update to send to either my epix 2 pro watch or GPsmap67i using the blue transfer icon, rather than a list of my device to select to send to, the app just does back to my courses list and the courses are not transferred over.

Any courses imported to the app prior to the new 4.74 update transfer over with no issues, but any new courses cannot be send to my watch or handheld.

  • How are you creating the courses that can't be sent?

    Have you tried sending the courses from the web interface? That will make the course transfer from the app to the watch or you can also transfer the course with the help of Garmin Express.

  • Hi Andy , no problem transferring courses from a computer , I have found any new course that I create on a variety of sources from the ordnance survey app, Garmin Basecamp or downloaded from race organisers such as Montane spine can be saved in garmin connect fine, but on the android app every single course that I have added since the new update has the issue that when you select one and then the transfer to device blue icon, rather than seeing a ist of devices to select from to transfer the course to, the app page just goes back to the courses list, I can select any multitude of courses that were already in connect before the update and they all work fine and can be transferred to my devices.

    With the new courses that I am creating I am doing nothing different to what I have done for may years.

  • Hi Andy I have also just converted a activity recording in Garmin connect to a course and it has the same issue when you then try to transfer the course the screen just goes back to course list and does not bring up my list of devices, I reported to Garmin on Sunday but yet have not received any acknowledgement of my emails 

  • If the app does not work, in the meantime before Garmin fixes it, you can use Garmin Connect web + Garmin Express for sending the course to the watch

  • Thank you , I have taken a risk and found a slightly older APK version of the app from December , I have installed the older version and all now working with new courses , I will turn off automatic updates until I know the issue is fixed , I have just checked with a couple of my running friends who also use Garmin connect and they also have the same issue , at least I know not just me 

  • Just tried latest update and still the same issue , if I revert back to version 4.73.4 all okay , emailed support last Sunday and still no replay from them DisappointedDisappointed
