Personal record not recorded

I've just completed a parkrun that was a little over 5K so the run was not finished exactly on the 5K mark. During that run I set several PBs - at 1k, 1 mile but also for the 5k distance. The first two records were correctly identifed by the system (I'm assuming Garmin Connect does this and not the watch) and enabled me to store them against the run. However, the the 5k portion of the run (i.e. the first 5k autolaps) not identifed as a PB and not offered as records to store.

I'm asusming this is a bug in the Connect app.

Is there any chance Garmin would fix the bug and secondly can I manually store the record against the run?

In case it's relevant the watch used is an Epix Pro Gen 2 (51mm) running formware 15.77 and on the phone I#m using Android Garmin Connect 4.74

No, it is the watch that detects the records in real-time.

Yes, you can. Open the activity in Garmin Connect Web, and in the cogwheel menu use the function "Set as PR", then you can go to the PR page, and edit the PR accordingly (for example if the total distance was longer than 5k). Do not forget to send the edited record back to the watch, in order to allow the watch to detect a new PR correctly the next time.

Thanks so much for your help on this. I've had a Garmin watch for some time (not this model) and I'm continually amazed by the things it can do and how much I don't know about how it all works.
