Weather widget - fixed location not available

Hello all. I want to use fixed location for Weather instead of GPS.

(Yeah, I know about plenty topics about weather. I read them but this was not helpful.)

I have Vivoactive 5 with FW 8.27 and GC version 4.73.4. Latest FW and App versions at this point of time.

My problem is that there is no setting in GC app (I read that this was remover and I should change location on my swatch, ok).

But I can not open any setting for Weather on my watch. When I try to do so - nothing happens or watch just show me Control menu, but no weather options.

Please assist.

    The option Weather Location was indeed removed for the watches supporting weather locations in the Weather widget settings, but it is still available for those not having this option. I own a watch without weather locations on the Weather widget, and the Weather Location is still in Garmin Connect in More (...) » Settings » User Settings » Weather Location (app version 4.73.4)

    I do not know to which category Vivoactive 5 belongs (you'd be better advised on the Vivoactive 5 forum), and how to get to the Weather settings on your device, but on other watches you have to navigate to the Weather widget first, and then long-pressing the Menu button (on my watch it is the middle left, not the upper left which opens the Controls menu).

    Thanks for your answer. Shame on me - there was wrong button: I tried to use upper (Controls) and Weather settings was under lower. But unfortunately Weather location is control only by GPS.

    Yeah- Venu 3 here, now with Weather widget, without the fixed location setting which used to work perfectly... So Garmin why changing something which worked well without a problem? Current weather info is just incorrect, miles away from actual weather on my location. Need to go out perhaps (minus 10 Celcius) to sync again? It’s a pain those product developer driven changes without pre-testing it properly.

    Forerunner 265 is the same - no option for fixed location in Connect, and on the watch you can only update to your current GPS location.
