Activity auto pause (walking / hiking / running etc) threshould time

Can we have the ability to set a threshold time before the auto-pause kicks in? sometimes im walking / hiking and stop for a second and it keeps stopping and starting. Othertimes, when doing corners or going up-hill, just by error as it thinks i have stopped for some reason. If we could set a threshould time of say 5 seconds or so, it would not do that. At the moment, enabling Auto Pause functinoality is not possible as it is and it is quite a useful functionality.

  • No. I suggest you just don't use it. It is one of those functions that just cause issues. Press the stop button if you want to pause.

  • Yea it's not really usable for hiking if you go up a hill slowly. It's ok when walking flat terrain or a city fast enough, also great for cycling.

  • Auto pause when stopped was just too unreliable for me also.

The way I solved it is to set auto pause to 30 minutes per mile rather than "stopped" for a running activity. It pauses quickly and restarts automatically after about 3 or 4 steps. Actually, I use Run for my walking activities due to the extra stats it provides and also the condition of my knees.

The pace might need to be different in your cases..
