Vo2 max not updating on venu sq2.

It has stopped updating after November 28. I have add multiple runs after these with better time and distance. But yet it isn't updating. I have even tried resetting the watch. But no luck.

  • I suspected it probably had to do something with updates. The comments in this thread seems to confirm that.

I reached out to the support team as well. Their engineering team is looking at the logs. Will share the updates here incase they find a solution.

  • Hi! Has anyone found a solution yet? The Garmin Support team isn’t really helpful.

  • I had the same issue, but last Friday it suddenly recorded a new VO2 max value after a run activity. My version is 2.59, which was released on November 29th, so I would rather say this version might have caused the issue, not solved it.

I wonder if the VO2 max value may not be recorded somehow if it is lower than the previous recorded value. My VO2 max level level was probably lower than before in December and the first weeks of January after a period of less training.

  • Hi , same problem, recorded on 26 Nov then nothing until 14 Jan (which recorded a 1 unit drop), then nothing again. I don't check it often, rely on body feel. Guess I'm not serious enough. Cheers

  • Same problem here. How often is there a firmware update ?

  • I wanted to chime in and say that my last VO2 max reading was on December 15th. I've run multiple times since and reset my watch quite a few times, but there is no update. Has anyone received a response from Garmin about possible solutions?

  • I had raised a ticket and shared the logs with their technical team. They took about 10 days and came back with a generic response that the vo2 max isn't updating as there has been no change. I had even shared the link to this discussion and highlighted the fact that many are facing the same issue. But no response. In short, they aren't even acknowledging the problem.

  • That's very disappointing.
