Cannot setup ECG - unable to load video

I got my Epix 2 and since yesterday I am unable to set up the ECG app due to 'unable to load video' issue on an android (SGS23) phone. Any known solutions to this?

  • Can't help with that - it may be a local networking problem, but there are a number of Garmin ECG tutorials on YouTube, so perhaps it can help:

Some basic instructions are also for example here: I Am Unable to Set Up the ECG App After Updating My Device Software | Garmin Customer Support

If it does not help, you can always reach ut to the Product Support at https://support.garmin.com

  • I have the same problem. When I purchased the Epix Pro Gen 2 a month ago the ECG app was on it. I even took two measurements, then it just disappeared.

  • I found a page on this site that gives directions on how to remedy the problem after a software update. Unfortunately, the solution did not work for me because at Step 3 there is no option to continue set up. I am copying and pasting the directions here in hopes it may help you. If somebody, Garmin, or anybody has a solution to this problem that works please add details to this string. Here's what the website says to do (but it don't work)

I Am Unable to Set Up the ECG App After Updating My Device Software

If you recently updated the software on your Garmin ECG App compatible smartwatch, but do not see the option to set up this feature in the Garmin Connect app, we suggest the following troubleshooting:

If you do not see a Set Up ECG prompt after 24 hours, you can do the following:

    1. Access the menu by selecting More (bottom right).
    2. Select Garmin Devices.
    3. Select your device.
    4. Select Finish Set Up.
    5. Select Set Up ECG App.
    6. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete set up.
