I get notifications but I can't read anything on the screen
Not sure we can help - is the text too small? Then you either need glasses or a bigger watch. Or is the text missing? Try scrolling down or pressing the GPS button, that usually opens the notification (may depend on the watch model you use - in doubts consult the user manual)
