Screen being too dark even after adjusting it to 100%

I am a new owner of 255. The screen brightness is too dark even aftere adjusting it to 100%. As a matter of fact, there is no difference between 10% vs 100%. Have anyone experienced similar problems? If so, any suggestions or solutions?

    I am not familiar with FR255, but it uses the same type of display (transflective MIP) as my Instinct 2, and it is similar there too - barely noticeable difference between 10% and 100% of the backlight intensity. The only solution is getting a watch with an Amoled display, but those are considerably more expensive. Or using an external light - the transflective displays are the better readable the stronger ambient light is.
