Sleep timeline metrics missing - Body Battery Charge

Ever since a recent update to my Vivosmart 5 (or maybe it was an app update?) I don't get "Body Battery Charge" anymore in my sleep tab.

I used to be able to see this stat but now it just has a dash. I've tried resetting my Vivosmart 5 but that didn't solve it. I have data displaying for Restless Movements and Resting Heart Rate so that part of it is working.

Anyone else have this issue?

  • I don't understand why the field "body battery vervanging (body battery replacement?)" is empty

It is Body Battery Change. The field is empty for some reason on the sleep screen…

  • Garmin is fixing bugs and security updates for older devices. You will not see new functions for older devices after the release of about 2-3 generations of new models. Your watch will continue to work without the new functions just as it did before they were released for the new models.

Morning report is not something that is fixed for older devices that don't have it. It is a new function.

Is Morning report something that you really need? It is just a summary of the values that you already can view on the watch. I just scroll through my glances in the morning to look at them. It is pretty pointless if you think of it. If you want to see just a little bit more about those values you need to look at the glances anyway.

  • Sorry, I wasn't clear. I don't care about Morning Report-- previous poster had mentioned that he added Body Battery to Morning Report and wondered if that was why the missing "Body Battery Change" field suddenly started working. If that's the case, it's not an option as a way for me to fix that nonfunctional field, as it's not something that exists on my watch. My commentary about older devices was more concern that Garmin may have started to deprioritize fixes for them-- I certainly don't expect Garmin to add functionality to a device purchased 2 years ago! :-)

  • Sorry. I misunderstood.

This is more likely a bug in the app and not device dependent since the value is available in the body battery page.

  • UPDATE: Looks like Garmin have put the metric back in :)!! Thanks Garmin

  • What changed? There hasn’t been an update to the iOS app— has there been one for android? Hoping I might have a fix to look forward to!

  • Nevermind— the metric is now populated for me, too! How on earth did they do that without an update? Whatever, I’m just grateful that it’s working!
