Instinct 2x Sleep mode missing sleep intervals

Hello. I'm a new user with Instinct 2x. Recently found out sleep mode works only for the manual added schedule. Can I turn sleep mode manually, or the watch to detect it automatically?

  • Not sure if you do not confuse the Sleep Mode and sleep detection. Sleep Mode is just a different mode of the watch between the schedule Bed & Wake Up times. In this mode, the watch may apply different battery settings, different background light settings, the Do Not Disturb mode, different watchface layout, and perhaps couple of other things I forgot. You can turn it on or off manually too, whenever you want. The easiest way is through the Controls menu.

In contrary to that, the sleep detection happens automatically. It works the best when your sleep is within the scheduled time, though it does need to be matching exactly. For example I have the Bed - Wake Up times set from 22:00 to 10:00, although I rarely go to bed before midnight, and wake up much earlier too. And even if it can happen that I wake up after the scheduled Wake Up time, the sleep detection still works and keeps recording the sleep stages even after the scheduled Wake Up time, till I really wake up.

If you are missing the sleep data for your nights, then have a look at the following document. Especially make sure the Battery Saver is not enabled during sleep, because it would turn off the HR sensor, which is needed for the sleep detection.
