MK2i disconnects from T1 transmitter while diving from the boat

I noticed a problem when I was diving from the boat, after  jumping to the water the transmitter gets disconnected for about 1-2 min. Then I have to wait till I get transmission again and connection .

It's little annoying as everyone waits for me till all is good.

I'm thinking event to get manometer again connected as backup due to not reliable / mulfanctioning T1.

For sure it has something with the jump. The battery was checked and replaced.

  • I do not own the MK2i with transmitters, but from what I know about it, the two components communicate together in two ways - radio used above the surface, and ultrasonic signals underwater. So, I'd tell it is rather normal that after jumping into the water, it takes some time before the watch switches from radio to ultrasound. I do not know, though, whether a minute or two are really standard. You best ask other users on the MK2i forum. Here, on the GC app forum, there are not necessarily any MK2i owners reading the posts regularly.
