Garmin CONNECT removes my watch

I have a Samsung S21 and Forerunner 945 LTE. But it was the same before with a Samsung S8.

My Garmin connect all the time removes my device. So I do not have it connected to a phone.

When I add a device back, it is ok for about 1 week, and than it is all over again. CONECT removes my watch and I'm not connected via phone.

Does anyone know any advice?

  • Is your S8 still available? If it is, make sure that your Garmin is removed from the app and Bluetooth settings (unpair).

Then try these steps and video to see if it helps:

    • Remove the Garmin device from the Garmin Connect App (if it exists) - More > Garmin devices > tap on device > from 3 dot menu "Remove Device."
    • If installed, uninstall Connect IQ app from your phone
    • Unpair Garmin device from android Bluetooth settings.
    • If you have any other mobile devices (old phone, tablets, etc.) also unpair the Garmin from those devices.
    • Restart the phone and the watch.
    • On the Garmin device place into "pairing mode." Hold UP, and select Settings > Connectivity > Phone > Pair Phone
    • Pair using Garmin Connect Mobile app - More > Garmin Devices > Add Device.

If issues persist, suggest contacting Garmin Product Support directly.
