Garmin connect app cant be launched, always crashed at launch

This issue occurs when i tried to open the garmin app.

I noticed that the app get crashed immediatelly.

Already clear cache, clear data, reinstall it always happen 100%.

Not sure about the exact trigger but this is just start happen today 29 of oct 2023.

Kindly reply if you guys have any workaround.

  • From my reading and interpretation of "your apps" on that linked page you need to be a developer and be the developer of the app you want to view to see its performance in Play Console.

    Or am I wrong and it can be used with a regular Google user account and can look at the performance for any apps installed on the device? (I'm not a developer.)

  • Can you login to Garmin Connect Web in a browser? (https://connect.garmin.com)

    If you can that would eliminate it being a general account problem.

    Does it crash if the phone is in Aeroplane Mode?

    It should launch but warn that there is no internet connection and Bluetooth is off?

  • It is true that certain expertise is needed, and you may need to enable the Developer option in Android's settings, but generally you can find some hints even from 3rd party apps, without having the access to the source code. However, it is certain that it would be much simpler for the developers of the app

  • Login using browser is working fine.

    Launcing the app with no internet or bluetooth or combined is also working just fine.

    Then try removing the device while not connected, reconnect, and if it does not crash, add the device back.

  • When i removed the device and re-sync or add the device and login it will crashing again. Its weird,.is it possible a hardware related issues?

  • You can try soft-resetting, or power cycling the watch too, just in case. And then I would also try signing out of the app, and then signing back in again.

  • I have exactly the same problem with Samsung S22 phone and samsung tablet. It started today aprrox after 12am. Sone times I manage to open app without crashing, but app does not sync latest activities and crashing if I try to refresh or open calendar.

  • Actually seems *** problem is with syncing.  Without wifi or mobike data app do not crash.

  • Just a thought -- did the country you are in change the clocks from summer time to winter time (or reverse) during last night?

    It is not unusual in my experience for devices and apps to misbehave on these days because of time mismatches and 23 or 25 hour days.

    I usually find that leaving the offending device or app for 24-hours solves the problem
