6 Pro Sapphire stopped vibrating for notifications

Hi,

for some time now (after the Connect for Android update) the watch has stopped vibrating for notifications. |
No settings have been changed, however the notification does not vibrate.
The information sent by the watch (timer, alarm, etc.) works as before, and the watch vibrates.

Garmin 6 Sapphire, Android 13, App v 4.72

  • Check in the app by tapping on your device, then go to:

    • Notifications & Alerts > Smart Notifications > General Use
    • Verify Status = On
    • Verify Vibration = On for Calls, Texts, and Apps
    • Do the same for During Activity
  • Thank you for your answer, but there is no such menu in the 4.72 application, I remember it used to be there, but now it is gone

  • Thank you for the advice, but all the conditions for vibration to be met have been met for a long time.
As I wrote, the watch's vibration for notifications worked until it stopped after an update.
I'm from IT, I can navigate Garmin settings well, all conditions are met, however, the vibration command is not sent
to the watch, only the notification text and the command to turn on the lighting are sent.

  • As I wrote, the watch's vibration for notifications worked until it stopped after an update.

Firmware update might have changed the settings. It does not usually happen, but up and then it can happen. Did you verify the settings recently? I would also recommend doing a soft-reset of the watch - that is generally advised doing after each firmware update, and especially when some odd issues appear. And re-verify the settings after the reset again.

Also please note (in case you did not), that there are several settings that may influence the vibrations. Besides the ones mentioned by  for Smart Notifications » General Use and Smart Notifications » During Activities, there is also the setting in System » Sound & Vibe » Vibrations, and finally also the Battery Saver mode, or an activity-specific Power Mode may limit the use of vibrations in certain situations.

  • Thank you for your answer, the do not disturb setting is not active, battery saving is not enabled, all settings in the application are correct and have been checked repeatedly. I will look at the settings in the watch menu again, maybe now there are settings that disappeared from the application. As I wrote, I did not change the settings and the vibrations disappeared, maybe it is, as you write, that the update changed something, but I checked and everything seems to be set well (and as before the failure). If I find a solution, I will write about it.

  • Did you try the soft-reset?
