Duplicate activities created with myFitnessPal sync

The last threads I find specifically about this are quite old. I am having an issue where myFitnessPal is syncing back simple versions of my Garmin activities and then Garmin syncs them back to myFitnessPal. I cannot seem to find any setting to stop this from happening, but the posts did stop awhile back.

Is there any way to stop this from happening, or if I want to sync with myFitnessPal I just have to delete the duplicate items?

The reason to sync with myFitnessPal is currently I see no way to sync my weight to the Garmin Connect app as there is not an API connection for VeSync in Connect, but there is in myFitnessPal.

Are you really speaking about activities, or about Calories from activities? I never had any activities synced from MFP.

If you mean just the Calories from activities, then make sure you have the option "Enable Negative Adjustments" checked at https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary-settings

If it is not that, then please post some screenshots demonstrating the issue.

The activity comes from Garmin to myFitnessPal, and you can see it is as a GarminConnect activity. And then in GarminConnect an activity appears as something like, 'Walking 3MPH pace'; and it is the time, distance, and calories.

That then syncs itself back to myFitnessPal, back once more, and then the chain ends with a final sync to myFitnessPal.

As they are all deleted now I will have to take a picture this evening. Any chance you know of a log anywhere that tracks the syncing activity? I had thought it might have been something with the Fitbit app, but I have confirmed all connected apps and permissions are removed on that app/website and it has not received any data since I fully switched on Wednesday.

Fascinating, it was something odd with the connections. Once I removed them all, and added them back the double sync issue has resolved.
