Inaccurate weather info

Hi - the last two days (19 & 20 Oct) I have been running in Montecatini, Tuscany, Italy & the weather info given by my Garmin app (I wear forerunner 55) has been bizarrely inaccurate (having previously been fine, including in Italy). The actual temperature here has been in the mid 2Os °C, with a light breeze, but Garmin has said 8° with winds of 17-31kph! This is the weather icon on bottom left of the running map btw. Any reason for this? It is quite annoying! Cheers, Paul Negri

Unlike the temperature on the Weather widget on the watch, the temperature on the map actually comes from Google, not from Garmin's sources. The exact weather station can be viewed wen you open the activity in Garmin Connect web, and click on the temperature field on the map. If there is an abbreviation in the field "Source" that you do not understand, it is usually very easy to look it up by searching for the expression "weather station XXXX". It can tell you which whether station was used, and explain why it was so wrong.

Also please note, that it shows the temperature in the moment you started the activity. Hence if you started early in the morning, when the temperature was still cold, the map will show that value, and not the temperature later in the day during the activity.
