How to Track Gear for last 7 days on Garmin Connect

Hi forumites

Newby alert. Running is my thing and I have a large number of trainers (in various states of repair) that I use. I have sufficient pairs, that I don't remember which pairs I use from run to run, as I run most days.

I utilise the Add Gear functionality, which is great to help me track when to demise my runners.

However,  it's not easy to see which shoes I've worn on my runs for the last 7 days without going into each activity. The aim is to rotate, but I don't need or want to have a strict rotation of all pairs of shoes.

Just like in the running section on Garmin Connect, where I can see each of the runs for the last 7 days, I'd like to see the shoes on the same dashboard-like view.

Is there some wizardry than can make this happen? I have the Fénix 6S watch on case that's important.

Thanks

James

  • Apart from some JavaScript coding in GC Web, there is unfortunately no direct way to make a time-filtered gear report. However, instead of going to all the last activities, you could go to the Gear screen, and tap on the blue number of activities at the gear you assume you could use. It shows you then the list of activities done with that gear. Although also not ideal, it may be perhaps slightly faster than reviewing all activities.

Personally, I'd probably just physically arrange the shoes in my rack so, that I see immediately which ones are to be used the next time (for example having them in a row, and putting the last used shoes always on the end of the row)
