Kalorienverbrauch stimmt nicht

Had a bike ride today with 170km, 900m climb, and 30kmh average speed. Heart rate measured with hrm pro, cadence sensor was also installed. Garmin tells me a calorie burn of 760, is this a joke? All the data is correct, only the calorie consumption is absurdly low. What's going on there?

  • Ps: yesterday's run: 8km 5:50 pace, 800kcal Face palm♂️

  • Garmin tells me a calorie burn of 760, is this a joke?

Which value does the Heart Rate panel show as your avg. Resting HR for today? Did you verify your body weight in the user profile did not accidentally change? (same for the height, age, gender). And what is the Max HR? All of this data can greatly influence the way the Calories are calculated. Improbable values for the Resting HR, Max HR, and weight are the most common culprits for wrong Calories data.

  • All data is entered correctly. For comparison: cycling 2 days ago with 70km, 780hm and 29kmh average speed = 3326kcal. With exactly the same data and components as on today's ride.

  • Strangely, the health statistics show me an active consumption of 3624 kcal for today, only this was not taken into account in the activity and performance statistics. This of course has a strong impact on the “training load” values and the Vo2max.

  • All data is entered correctly.

Well, some of the data update automatically (Resting HR, Max HR), so they may easily change without noticing, even if they were originally correct. Weight can be easily screwed up by accident, for example when mistaking a decimal coma for a decimal point or vice versa. That's why I asked what the values are now.

Are you using two different devices? Edge and a watch? If so, then there are some known problems with syncing devices of two different generations, one fully supporting the new Unified Training Status and the other one still relying on the Physio TrueUp. Syncing both devices a few times cyclically may perhaps help. If not, contact the Support, and ask whether there is a solution for your setup available.

  • I checked the data several times and it was all correct. Yes, I use the Fenix 6xpro for running and a Garmin Edge for cycling. And with the Edge there are these extreme deviations. I have already described the situation to support and am waiting for a response. Thank you very much for your input, I didn't expect to get an answer here so quickly.

  • As I wrote, I recommend trying to sync the devices several times: sync F6 » sync Edge » sync F6 » sync Edge. Often, up to 2-3 (or even more) full cycles may be necessary before the devices exchange all the data. And when the data is not perfectly exchanged between the devices, the F6 takes priority over Edge for the all-day data, hence you will get very low values, since the activity was recorded on the Edge.
