Step counter misses steps that are visible in day timeline

My phone shows this desync between the step counter and the timeline. The timeline is right. My Vivomove 3S shows the lower value. The counter still counts new steps.

A possible trigger for this bug may have been that the date on my Fairphone 3 briefly jumped to July 2023 while trying to fix its mobile network connectivity. The 5k are about right for the steps since changing the date back and forth.

About 2 months ago I had over 7,000 steps showing on the watch and the Connect Mobile app was sync'd a couple of times during the day and it showed the correct count until I opened the card (like your pic) where it continued to show something around 650 steps for most of the day. I finally connected the watch to Garmin Express and it fixed it. Very strange indeed.

Your mention of the date change could have certainly been the trigger based on the note mentioned in My Detail Views Do Not Match the My Day View in the Garmin Connect App. If the issue continues again tomorrow please reach out to Product Support for further investigation.
