Disable screen auto off

Is there any way to override the phones display auto off functionality. I have a OnePlus Nord CE2 Lite 5G. Maximum timeout is 5 min which is annoying when you want to see your heart rate on the threadmill for instance. It can be done on application level however. Some other fitness apps keeps the screen on while the tracking page is open.

Use an app to keep the screen alive. For example Screen Alive. Or use a different app that displays heart rate and got a function to keep the screen on. Broadcast the HR from the watch to the phone or use a chest strap.

Many treadmills got a heart rate display and you can broadcast the heart rate to it.

I don't believe that Garmin will add a function to keep the screen on since the app is not intended to be used as the HR monitor.
