Dear Garmin, if your previous sleep algorithm/display was working fine, why have you now broken it?!
I have worn a neat and small Vivosmart HR+ for years and the sleep data/report used to be pretty reliable. Due chronic medical issues, my sleep is often disrupted and I am fairly immobile when I am asleep. Even so, the algorithm did a decent job, missing some wake periods as I didn't/don't move much anymore while sleeping but reliably noted movement - the peaks/troughs display was excellent and overall I felt the daily display reflected my sleep pattern(s).
Since the most recent update, however, for some reason changing movement peaks/troughs to a white line instead of pink zones, I might aswell not even look at it as the "report" is now utterly unreliable - the algorithm appears to have been radically changed.
E.g., I woke at 4am last night, I rearranged myself and, after a while (a long while of about 1hr this time) I got back to sleep and grabbed another couple of hours. On waking, though, I see the algorithm didn't capture my going to sleep again, and has decided I only had 4hrs sleep.
I can no longer rely on my Garmin to reliably reflect the pattern of my sleeping.
What did you do?! Why?!
