No longer able to edit sleep times

Since the last update I can no longer edit my fall asleep and wake up times for tracked sleep via my Garmin Venu. Have they removed this feature or is it just a bug in my app?

  • I have a work around.

    1. Go to your garmin connect web page
    2. Go to your dashboard
    3. Look for the item: Sleep or click “+” and add sleep
    4. In the sleep tile, navigate to your desired date and hit the edit button

  • This is working for me thanks - but how long before Garmin find out & remove it?

  • Works for sleeps going back up to 6 months, thanks for spotting this.

  • I revived my watch last week after leaving it dead for two months and it was a very rude ahem *awakening* to discover this new little surprise update. Not only am I not able to edit past days I also can’t seem to edit my current day because the times don’t save despite pressing save! I finally went on my laptop and was able to successfully change my sleep times but for gods sakes garmin I shouldn’t have to jump through this many hoops to edit my sleep time of all things! Garmin please bring the editable sleep feature back because this is ridiculous and unacceptable.

  • You can still change it on the website, go to your dashboard, then select the sleep tile. There's a pencil icon next to the total sleep time.

  • Garmin, bring it back! It wouldn’t be such a bad change if my data was accurate, but it’s calculating that I’m asleep 2 hours before I even go to my bedroom! It’s not like I’m reading in bed.

  • Useful to know but I don't want to drag my laptop out every few days to update something which I could do in the app until recently.

Unfortunately you have no other choice now, than using Garmin Connect Web. BTW, it works in a browser on phones too.

  • Yes, I did end up changing it on the website. But then what’s the point of having the app if I can’t even use it? I shouldn’t have to access the website every time I want to change my sleep hours.

  • My problem is,  that even when I am editing the sleeping time, the sleep score is not recalculated properly. In my case tge stress at the start of the sleep is high cause the watch detected sleep to early. When I correct the sleep time the yellow stress bars are gone but the calculted average stress stays exactly the same.
