Missed badge "FREDDOLOSO"

I cycled 67 km in scorching heat with 43° celsius, and I didn't get the freddoloso badge. This temperature was also marked on the Edge 530.

  • Unfortunately, it is not the temperature taken by the internal sensor of the device that decides about the badge. It often shows temperatures far above the true air temperature, because it is usually exposed to the direct sunlight (and at watches it is influenced by the body heat). For this reason, Garmin uses the weather data available at the moment of the start of the activity. You need a functional Bluetooth connection to your phone and mobile data on the phone, to get the weather data. Next time, check the weather widget on the Edge, to see whether the activity would apply for the badge or not.

  • I got toasted for nothing. Relieved

We will next time. Thanks a lot for the answer.
