Update as of September 2023:
Feedback is currently being reviewed regarding the recent changes made to Garmin Connect 4.70 for further consideration.
Thank you,
This is just horrible design change. I have no notifications so promoting the bell icon on prime spot in the app is just absurd.
I share your opinion. This new version is not at all ergonomic.
Garmin Connect updated today to V4.7 and run activities are no longer providing total ascent in the overview tab or in the newsfeed. You have to go through the stats tab of each activity to find it. Why…
Hi Cody, I cannot sync any activities/ data through the new app. Tried re-installing every thing - no luck. How can I roll back to the older version?
With the 4.70.1 update Garmin decided to remove the Sleep tile which was very useful with it's ring graph and at-a-glance breakdown of sleep stages. Sleep data was also removed from the Yesterday and "Last 7 Days" health views. I contacted a developer and he said it's been combined with the Sleep Score tile, and that if I wanted the Sleep tile information it was available by logging into Connect on the webpage, but why should we need to go there when we have the app on our devices. Going into the Sleep Score tile does not provide the same level of detail that Sleep itself had. Garmin, if you read this, please bring back the Sleep tile with it's ring graph and sleep details. It's alright the maintain the Sleep Score tile as well, but why not just keep the two?
I totally agree - please bring back the 3 circles - that is one of the reasons I chose Garmin because of the layout and now it is gone!
Cody, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S22+. I agree that the new display for the Activity Summary is lackluster to say the least. I too request that the previous three circle display be restored.
A WONDERFUL and MEANINGFUL improvement to that design would be to make the contents of those 3 circles customizable by the user. The current version is certainly a step backwards rather than an improvement.
Thank you.
