v4.70 App Changes

The latest version of the android app (v4.70) - "More" (bottom right, Mehr in your language) is what used to be "menu" (top left).  A user cannot change this.

This is just horrible design change. I have no notifications so promoting the bell icon on prime spot in the app is just absurd. 

This is clearly a thing that divides people. I like the change, swapping the menu and notification buttons makes it easier to access the menu with one hand (I never use the notifications either).

I share your opinion. This new version is not at all ergonomic.

Yes!!  Is the overview tab of your run activities now not including Total Ascent?  Why would they keep Total Calories, but remove Total Ascent??

Since this is working as intended, it's not an incident, so your best bet it to submit a request using Garmin's Share Ideas site. Other option is to install an older version using an apk site.

Garmin Connect updated today to V4.7 and run activities are no longer providing total ascent in the overview tab or in the newsfeed.  You have to go through the stats tab of each activity to find it. Why remove this meaningful metric, but choose to provide total calories??
