Max number of BLE devices per Garmin Watch

Hello!

Does anybody know how many concurrent active connections (e.g. connected BLE devices) can a Garmin Watch have? I have tested that Applewatch can only have 2.

I am developing a new app and need to connect to 4-5 BLE sensors (and they have BLE interfaces, not ANT)

Depends on the device you use. It differs from model to model. See many of them listed here (typically 8 ANT+ and 3 BLE sensors, though):

In other words, if you need to connect 4-5 BLE sensors, than your best approach would be writing an aggregator phone app connecting to all sensors, and forwarding the data to the watch.

Another option could perhaps be using an Edge computer - they can connect to 8 - 12 sensors simultaneously, although I do not see how many of them can be BLE. Perhaps it can be found in the specs, or in the user manual of each respective model.

That link says 3 ble can be added, although it does not specify "can be used simultaneously" for some reason :/

o you know if it is posible to combine both of the technologies, 3 BLE ans 8 ANT+ all simultaneously?

Unfortunately, I never tested it, but my guess is that yes (just a speculation). Hopefully someone else who actually used such configuration, will peek in. Or try calling the Support and asking them directly.
