Vivosmart 5 "Find My Device"

Is this feature enabled on the Vivosmart 5?  When I try to use it through the Connect app my phone can connect to the device, but I don't hear a tone.

  • Try whether increasing the volume on the phone helps, while the function is activated and the phone connected.

  • Tried that.  I've located an area about 150' in diameter in and around my house where the Connect app on my phone is still able to connect to the device. When I use "Find My Device" I get a message on the phone saying "an alert has been sent to your Garmin device" . What's that mean? Is the thing suppose to start beeping or vibrating or. what?  I can't hear a thing when I'm exploring the area where it went missing.

    Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

  • Ah, sorry, I misunderstood - the volume up was intended for the opposite way - finding the phone from the watch. For finding the watch from the phone, there is no setting, AFAIK.

  • BTW, I just see the following text in the article How to Find My Garmin Watch With Find My Device

Audible tones are not available on Approach S60, Approach S62, Approach S70 series, Approach X40, Approach Z82, D2 Air, Lily, Venu series (excluding the Venu 2 Plus), or any vivo watches.

Apparently it only triggers some vibrating of the watch. I guess it is not easy to hear it from a bigger distance, but at least the message tells you the watch is still in the proximity and could be found.
