Duplicate Activity

If I recorded the sane cycling activity on 2 devices, does GC record distance twice?

I use Garmin edge for navigation, paired with cadence & speed sensors.

I record with Fenix 6 for HR stats etc.

If you save on both devices and upload both to garmin connect, then yes, GC will count both activities and double the distance.

Broadcast the HR from the Fenix to the Edge so you don't need to log on both.

I wear a chest strap when I bike with my Edge 130. I wear my VA3 but don't start an activity on it. Even though there's no activity recorded on the VA3, it still keeps track of intensity minutes and other stats the Edge doesn't know about.

That is how I also do it, but it sounds like nieldw117 doesn't use a chest strap and wants to log the ride with the Edge.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think the solution for me is to pair the bike sensors to my Fenix, then use the Edge for navigation only.

My edge is pretty old, but still does the job. Fenix has better data, info, and multi GPS.
