My Breaths per minute is completely wrong when I run. I am using the HRM PRO so this is not about inaccurate wrist data.
The reason I know it is wrong is that I breathe a 4x4 rhythm and my cadence according to Connect is 160. That would make it 160%8 = 20 breaths per minute. Garmin says I averaged 33.
I am also having trouble with setting my lactate threshold with my HRM pro strap. It says my lactate threshold is 169/170 but I recently ran a 25km trail race and my HR averaged 178bpm for the whole 2hrs 55min. My max hr is 196. I am wondering if it is testing my lactate threshold wrong because it isn't detecting my breathing properly?
