What is an authorised viewer?

Can anyone tell me what the difference between an "authorised viewer" and a regular connection is, please? Do they get to see different levels of account data?

The following data is shared with authorized viewers of your Garmin Connect account:

Activity and wellness data
User profile information
Training and planning data

What Data is Not Visible When Sharing My Garmin Connect Account?

Not all parts of an account are visible to an authorized viewer. Social related features that display another user’s account are not visible to authorized viewers. Additional information not visible includes:

Newsfeed
Diving
Groups
Challenges
Golf leaderboard and scorecards
Segments
Courses
Badges
Quickdraw
