Default location name

How can I permanently change the default location name in my running activity. I am politically opposed to the default setting.

I think not. It's giving me 4 choices in a drop down box but not actually a choice to type something in.

It has this text beneath the drop down box

Example: Chicago Run
Your device will provide the activity name.
Location may not be accurate everywhere.

The first line, to me anyway, implies I can type something in

but then the next two lines contradict that. They imply it can't be changed.

The activity name is provided by your device. That is the "Run" part in the example. If you rename "Run" to "Scuttle" you will get "Chicago Scuttle" as the name.

The only option that will not include the location is "Untitled", but then all your workouts will be named "Untitled".

You can edit the activity name afterwards in Garmin Connect. I use this list when I change names: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities
It will let you change the name without opening the activity and doing an edit.
