Impossible to pair my Garmin Connect 245 to my Samsung phone

Hi there,

I've tried all solutions that I could find on this forum but still impossible to connect the watch to my phone. It used to be connected correctly but after a couple of weeks of not using it, the data did not sync properly so I tried the following :

- updates the app

- reinstall the app

- remove the watch from the Bluetooth history on my phone and from the devices connected to Garmin Connect

Now, when I'm following the normal procedure to pair the watch to the phone, it search for the device infinitely "device not found". - I really don't know what to do, I bought it like 1 year ago.
Any ideas ?

Thanks

  • Mine stopped pairing to my Samsung phone today too.

  • I also own a Samsung Phone (A52s) and recently, a few times the Bluetooth on the phone was not activating. I had to set it to flightmode repeatedly and wait a little, before Bluetooth started working again.

Have you checked, that BT is ok on the phone?

Since Android 13 there are increased reports about BT problems anyway.

  • I have the same problem with my A33 5G. It started in the last few days following the installation of the latest release from Samsung that was pushed to me on 1st July, 2023. UI One Version 5.1, Android version 13. I can no longer sync my Garmin Forerunner 245 watch via Bluetooth LE. However I can connect to other (non LE) Bluetooth devices such as my Sony SRS-XB13 speaker. When scanning for Bluetooth devices it is unable to find my Garmin watch even though the watch is in pairing mode. I have also tried all the tricks to get things going mentioned on this forum. There appears to be a problem with the Bluetooth software in this particular release from Samsung. However I am able to pair my watch with my old Samsung A53 phone. So for the moment I am going to use that route as a workaround for saving my Garmin data. Have you tried pairing with another (older) phone? Seems the only route for me now is to try a master reset on my phone, and if that fails send the phone back to Samsung. I can tell this is going to drag on for weeks ;-(.
