Smallest possible android phone that can run Garmin Connect

Hello,

I'm looking for a small and light android smartphone that meets the following criteria:

Can run current version of Garmin Connect and communicate with a garmin watch over BLE
Is fairly recent, i.e. is still available on the market
Is not terribly expensive

Currently I use the Samsung A3 2017 which is 135x66x8 mm and weighs 138 g, but the battery (non-replacable) is slowly dying, not to mention that with its limited storage and computing power it struggles to run any recent app, and I was wondering if I could buy something silmilar in size (or even smaller if possible - the smaller/lighter the better).

If anyone has some hands-on experience, then I'd welcome any advice.

Sorry, no hands-on experience with these, but using GSM Arena Phone Finder

Weight 140g or less
Storage 64 GB or more
Year 2019 or newer

Of those that are not the Android "go edition," I have to go with the Samsung Galaxy A40

Thanks for the info.

I found a phone called Soyes XS11. The physical dimensions are absolutely ludicrous: 85x43x9 mm. It is cheap and runs a normal Android (older version, though), not Android Go. Looks promising, but I'm not quite convinced that it would run the Garmin Connect mobile app.

At that price, might be worth a try. On Amazon it says it's running Android 6.0 (Froyo). Garmin Connect requires Android 7.0 or higher. Not sure you'll be able to work around that issue. Some of the other specs on it might make it impractical.

And then there's the successor Soyes XS12. Slightly larger (89x43), runs Android 9, hypothetically upgradable to Android 10, a lot more memory. Twice the price, though. And people complain about extremely short battery life. I would give it a try if someone shared some experience about using Garmin Connect on it. Otherwise I won't risk it.

Nothing yet. Unless I get confirmation that Garmin Connect runs without issues, I will not risk buying anything.

Indeed the Jelly 2 seems to be a good choice, but it's too expensive to buy without verifying first.

Why shouldn't it work? Android 12 seems good enough.

I got a Unihertz Jelly Pro to have a go. not bad.
works with Connect and live tracking.

Bit underpowered so looking forward to the Jelly Star inbound
