Can't connect my Edge 1000 to Google Pixel 6.

Can't get my edge 1000 to connect to Google Pixel 6. Had both the moment fgevand my Vivoactive 4 connected fine on previous Hawei phone but can now only connect the watch. Following all the correct processes but it just sits there doing nothing. Any ideas?

  • What version of Garmin Connect Mobile Android? Version 4.64 was the latest. Updated on Feb 28, 2023.

  • Yes it's on the latest version. Follow all instructions and on connect it just says 'completing setup of your device, and always fails a while after, no numbers to input or anything. The Garmin stays on the 'waiting for phone to connect' screen with the progress wheel rotating

    Very frustrating

  • See if this and the video below helps at all

    • Remove your Garmin device from the Garmin Connect App (Menu >> Garmin devices).
    • "Unpair" all Garmin devices in android Bluetooth settings. Settings >> Bluetooth >> Unpair
    • Do the same for any other nearby mobile devices that might have Garmin in its Bluetooth settings. A common issue for users that have a new phone or other mobile devices also paired to the same Garmin device.
    • Unpair from the app. Settings >> Apps >> Show System Apps >> Bluetooth >> Storage >> Clear Data
    • If Connect IQ is installed, uninstall it from all mobile devices
    • Reboot your phone, restart your Garmin.
    • On your Garmin device place into "pairing mode." Differs per device, on newer devices: Menu >> Connectivity >> Phone >> Pair Phone to manually enter pairing mode.
    • Pair using Garmin Connect Mobile app

  • Thanks for the he above, did everything suggested but still no joy. Wonder if the Garmin is just too old! Over 6 years.
