Calorie Count

Can someone please explain this. Went for ride yesterday and clocked up a healthy 4,374 calories with my Edge 1040. Uploaded activity to Connect which, at the end of the day, only gave 3,663 calories in total?? I also wear a Venu 2 Plus which, if I remember correctly, was given priority when I first linked it to Connect.

Could it be that Connect is prioritising my watches calorie count over my Edge 1040 cycle computer?? This is obviously ridiculous as the Edge is designed specifically for cycling and my watch isn't. I would be concerned if it was a few calories here or there but, in my case, we're talking a difference of a few thousand!!

  • I have a problem with the calorietracking too, it might be related. Everyday I burn around 2000/2100 calories, but I just noticed that yesterday the Connect app says I burned 1296 calories in total. That is kind of riduculous, it was just a normal day (8619 steps. When I look at my watch, the venu sq2, I can see I had around 2000, but I keep trying to synchronize and it won't work out. It synchronizes my sleep, my body battery, my calories I burned so far today (correctly), but the calorie count of yesterday won't be updated.
