Feature request indoor rowing

I am connecting my Concept2 logbook with Garmin Connect.

Pace is given in mins/1000m whereas the generally accepted metrics for that is mins/500m.

Also training effect and/or active minutes do not really reflect the effort. (Like 36 minutes spent in Zones 4 and 5  and giving me 3 vigourous minutes is confusing.

TIA

It is only your watch that records the intensity minutes, so if you do not wear it during the rowing workout, then the IMs won't be processed. And if you wear it, then you may want to connect the HRM strap you are using on the rowing trainer, to the watch too. In that case, though, you have to start an activity on the watch simultaneously too, since otherwise only the internal wrist HRM will be used, and the HR data may quite differ from what you get from the HRM strap. At the end you can discard the activity on the watch, if you prefer keeping the activity imported from your rowing trainer.

  • I was wearing, I didn't record the activity through the watch. I expected either not getting any minutes or getting them correctly. I didn't expect getting 8 moderate and 3 vigouroud minutes of a 37 min Hiit like sprint interval session with over 30mins in zone 4 and 5.

The sampling rate and the accuracy of the internal HRM are much lower when you are not recording any activity, and not having the chest belt connected. Do as I wrote, and you'll get as many IMs as you deserve Slight smile
