Data transfer from Fenix 6 to Garmin Connect mobile app.

I have a fenix 6 sapphire as well as an Instinct. Both are paired to my phone with the fenix as the primary device. I did a walk today and the fenix tracked all of the data. When i finished I thought the data would show up on the Connect app like it did with the Instinct. It did not although the heart monitor is working so there is communication between the devices. I went to the activities on the watch and all the data is there. How do I get it to the Connect mobile app on my phone? Is there some step I missed?

If the activity does not upload automatically, the .fit file may be corrupted. If syncing over USB to Garmin Express does not help, try importing the concerned .fit file it manually to Garmin Connect at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data If you get an error, zip the file and insert it here into your post - there are some kind forum users who help others with fixing broken activity files. Often you can fix the file relatively easily yourself by passing it through the "Section Remover" (without removing anything) at https://www.fitfiletools.com/
