Garmin coach runs are logged twice, hot to fix this?

Garmin coach runs are recorded both by the coach and by the watch autodetect activity? Should I delete one of these manually and is there a way to stop this from happening? Or is it the way it's supposed to function, to me it looks and feel like a software bug. I have added a pic to demonstrate, my point, I only did one 15.46km run yesterday,

  • You should only get one activity. Do you start the activity from the coach widget in the watch. It can also be started from the training calendar under workouts in the watch. Both ways work the same.

Auto detect is not used when you start a workout. It can't start an activity if you already have started an activity.

I would delete the one not connected to the coach plan.

  • Hard to know witch one is connected to the coach plan... Im starting it from the run "link", that is pickable when pressing the start button, I then select start training and it will have the coach planned run ready for me to start. The "fun" thing is that this is only happening every now and again, not every time...

  • Use the web to see which activity is connected to the training plan. Go to the coach page (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/training-plan?tab=Active), click your plan, click the activity that you logged. That is the one that is connected to the plan. Note the URL to the activity.

    View all activities: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities
Hover the activities to see the URL. Remove the one that is not not connected to the plan.
