Time in heart rate zones totally inaccurate can anyone decipher my screen shots

It makes no sense to me but maybe there is an explanation from someone more knowledgeable.

I I'll if I do it correctly add 2 screenshots of time in heart rate zones, one is from before I changed heart rate zones from garmin standard. Both activities were around 1 hour long but time adds up closer to 5 hours and 500% on one. I understand theres a lot that might be potentially innacurate on a smart watch but times and percentages on an activity that seems very accurate in all times and stats otherwise.

It's not essential but I want to look at the info it provides and take it on at a glance, not have to maybe work out what a fifth of time and percentages are. Thanks for any info.

  • How are you logging your heart rate? Are you using a chest strap like HRM Pro? My idea is that the chest strap got lots of HR data logged and you download it to the activity and something goes wrong.

    • Morning. All the info is from my watch. Instinct 2. I only do running on treadmill, walking outside and swimming, my heart rate zone data seems correct and all adds up on treadmill and walking but swimming it always ends up like that. Wasnt sure if it was something to do with the fact my heart rate is usually high throughout the entire swim where as treadmill is varied high and low, walking is low. And it is closer to accurate now that I have changed max heart rate and heart rate zones, more so for swimming as everything was zone 5 only at first. Thanks.
  • This is my latest one now. So basically for me in swimming the heart rate zone doesn't work. I'm not getting a picture at all of which zone I was in for how long. I may as well swim, count lengths in my head and look at a clock.
