Ski cadence only visible after manually changing activity

So yesterday was -7°C and when I went skiing I accidentally selected the 'hiking' activity because my hands were freezing.

When I got home, I noticed this and was able to edit the activity - I changed it to "cross country classic". Now on the stats tab I see a graph I've never seen before: "ski cadence". I can confirm today that this doesn't appear if you start the activity in "Cross country skiing" mode I.e. seems it only happens if you edit the activity post-exercise.

Is this a bug? Should I ordinarily be seeing this data?

I noticed the same thing, but only on Garmin Connect Mobile.

The web interface does not show Ski Cadence in either case. Suggest reporting this to Garmin Support.

Do You mean you _do_ see it in garmin connect mobile? Always? Or after editing the activity, post exercise?

May I ask which exact activity you pick (there are several skiing activities)?

Yes. Only after editing a hike (or any activity) and changing it to "Cross Country Classic Skiing" do I see Ski Cadence in the app. I never see it if I start the activity on my watch using the "XC Classic Ski" activity profile.
