Is the HRV Status visible on the main GC Page ?

Hello,

I'll receive an Instinct 2 tomorrow. I would like to know if HRV Status is visible as a card on the homescreen of GC app, or if I have to go thru the submenus of the app to display it.

Btw, if that's not the case, it would be an idea to make it display on a card on the homescreen.

  • Unfortunately it's not. I was also hoping to set up a dashboard to see all my relevant metrics in one place rather than diffing through convoluted UI on the app and/or the device. Hopefully they'll add it soon.

Yes, it is on the My Day screen of the GC app, as long as it is already established (it may take up to 3 weeks before the base line is established).

It is (and always was) available even in Garmin Connect Web, too. Add the Reports panel, and select the HRV Status report.

  • Wow, thanks for the tip! This reports card opens up so many possibilities -- now sure how I've missed it before.

  • Thank you, it finally appeared after a few days on the app dashboard and the website.

However it appears at the bottom of the screen and it seems that I can't move it up or down.

  • I can move any panel wherever I want by dragging it  by the top (in GC Web). In the app, you have to scroll down, tap Edit My Day, and reorder your panels as you want.

  • Yep, thanks. However this particular widget is not listed, so I can't reorder. But maybe that's just because the measurement are not complete yet. I'm on the Android version of the app, too.

  • HRV status is listed in my GC app, and I can move it. If your base line was not established yet, then indeed you may have to wait. If it was already established, try force-stopping the app. Or clearing the cache, or reinstalling the app.

  • I have added the reports panel on Garmin connect web but when I look through the list of reports to add there is not one for HRV listed. Can anyone tell me why it's not there or what I may be doing wrong.

  • Sorry if this sounds too obvious, but do you have a device that records/reports HRV?

  • Not too obvious of a question. But yes My watch does record HRV
