What the title says. Just to get all the obvious stuff out of the way:
- I've udpated the firmware on the forerunner (with the windows thingy) and Garmin Connect
- I've restarted everything numerous times
- I've Paire, unpaired, re-paired, re-re-re-re-re-paired my old Forerunner 35 successfully to the same phone
- The same procedure doesn't work with the 55.
With the 35:
- I set the phone to "Pair Phone", it gets to pairing mode
- I go to Garmin Devices, Add Devices on the phone
- It loads for a bit, finds the device and add it
With the 55:
- I get the watch to "pair phone", it gets to pairing ode
- Somehow on the phone it doesn't direclty seems to find anything.
- It tells me to "Select your device"
- Forerunner 55 isn't in the short list, I choose "Browse all compatible devices", select "Forerunner" then in that list Forerunner 55
- It gets me to some "tell us more" screen asking gender, age, etc.
- I choose next
- I get back to the screen to "Add device", the forerunner 35 is listed but not the 55 and nothing seems to have happened.
Shouldn't take hours to pair bluetooth devices in 2022.....
