New Garmin Edge 130 Plus not pairing with LG Android Tablet

Both my 45 Forerunner 45S watch and Edge work fine with Connect on Android Moto E phone.

The watch is also okay on my tablet but can not pair the Edge.

I don't have blue tooth enabled or try to use Connect on phone and tablet at same time.

Have tried all the FAQ suggestions but can't get past pairing fail message after entering PIN

Same, current version of Connect 4.6 and Android 10 on both

  • It is not recommended to pair the watch or Edge to multiple devices. They are not designed for that.

"For optimal Bluetooth performance, we recommend pairing your Garmin device to only one smartphone or tablet at a time using the Garmin Connect app. If your Garmin device is paired to more than one mobile device, you may experience Bluetooth connection issues. If you currently have your Garmin device paired to multiple mobile devices and are experiencing Bluetooth connection issues, you will need to unpair the Garmin device from any non-primary devices."

  • I don't use phone and tablet at same time, was able to pair watch to both okay and use one or other.  Issue is not connection but pairing. But have discovered that Edge is not like Forerunner. Not able to pair to multiple devices per tech support

  • That is what they mean with that text. You should only pair with one. Now you are trying to pair with two devices at the same time even if one of them is turned off.

  • Guess since I was able to do with Forerunner okay would not be a problem with Edge.  Now I know and need to decide which device I prefer......

  • You can still use Garmin Connect on both, but it is safer to just use one for syncing. After the sync you can see the data on both devices even if they are not paired with both.
