Send Activities as a Course using Garmin Connect Mobile.

Hello,

In the Garmin Connect Web page is possible to send activities as a course to a device, but this is not possible (as far as I know) from the APP.

This is the use case that happened to me. I'm in the middle of a ride and I decide to follow a ride that I've done in the pass and was made using an older device (or the activity is no longer in the current device). I can find the activity in the activity log in the APP, but I cannot send it as a Course to the device (Edge 530) via APP. 

In the APP I found that for an activity I can Share (Photo with stats or a Web connection) or Edit/Add or Remove Gear/Add to Fav/Delete, but I cannot send it to a device.

In the APP is possible to send a course to a device, so why I cannot send an activity?

Those anyone knows if there is a workaround?

Is there something that I've missed?

    I see couple of possibilities:

    1. Most devices allow you to navigate an older activity directly, without the need to be sent from Garmin Connect. See the activity menu » Navigate » Activities and start the navigation from there
    2. As you told yourself, it works in GC Web, so use it - save the activity as course (works on phones too), and then you can send it to the device from the app. 
    3. The Garmin Explore app could work too, I think, but am not 100% sure, since it is a few years I used it the last time

    , thank you for the reply, but:

    1.The activity is no longer in my device, for example, it was done using an older GPS. I Can see the activity in the history of the actual device, but if I try to "Ride" the EDGE 530 just restarts Disappointed

    2.The problem is that I cannot find a way to save, in the APP, an activity as a Course. If it was possible I then could send it, via APP, to the device.

    3.I've tried the Garmin Explore APP, but the Edge 530 is not supported. I think that is only for the Explore range.

    Sounds like a bug - I recommend reporting it to Garmin's Support

    That's why I wrote you should save it as Course using GC Web. GC Web works just fine on phone too.

    I've just opened a bug report in the Edge 530 forum, because of the restart :)

    Using the GC Web in the phone is a great idea, but why is not possible to do this using only the APP?

    Is so bad that some things can be done only in the CG APP and others only in the GC Web. :(

    By the way in one off my phone if I try to login into the GC Web it opens the GC APP. Some configuration that I can change.

    I hope the Garmin engineers do some reading of this foruns and see this as a upgrade to a new version of the GC APP. WaveWave

    No, they don't. Rather submit it to Share Ideas | Garmin if you want them to see it
