Garmin Connect App Deletes Bluetooth Connection

I have a Descent MK2i on a Galaxy S22+ phone. This has working together for almost a year and in the last two weeks, my bluetooth connection keeps getting deleted from my phone. This happens when the two devices get far enough apart that the bluetooth connection is dropped. Instead of just dropping the connection, it appears the connect app deletes the connection off my phone and I have to re-pair my watch to the phone. No other bluetooth sessions for speakers and other peripherals do this, just the connect app.I have deleted the connect app and reinstalled it and the same thing happens. Has there been an update to the app lately? Unfortunately, my phone auto updates apps so I cant see if it has been updated.
