Might be better to move the thread to the FR255 forum. It is not the case with my Instinct 2, for example, and I do not see more of such complaints here on this forum, so it is certainly not a general problem concerning everyone with the app. Besides moving the thread to the FR255 forum (see the option Move in the More menu under your OP), I recommend checking whether you did not associate the activity with a Power Mode with the BT communication disabled.
