Direct connection of Withings Healthmate?

This has been a question for a few years. Why hasn't Garmin authorized a direct link to Withings Healthmate so that all health data could be ported into Garmin Connect?

I'm not sure if this answers your question but there are recent threads in the forum about Withings and Renpho scales sending info to Garmin through Fitbit and MyFitnessPal. Lately, the info hasn't made it back to Connect but MFP's site seems to indicate that they're working on it.
