- Hi I drive a lorry for a living and my watch garmin instinct solar sometimes counts the bounce of the lorry as climbing steps. Is there a way I can delete the records of the action its logged.
You cannot delete the steps. You could only delete the full day of data on the Daily Summary page of Garmin Connect Web (including the HR, Calories, sleep, etc), but I am not even sure it would change the totals in the Steps stats.
However, you can prevent the watch from counting the steps while driving - there is the Driving activity type disabling the steps counting, but since it is not available on Instinct (AFAIK), you can use Indoor Cycling with the same feature. Once you end the drive you can either discard the activity, or keep it, and change the type to Driving, in Garmin Connect, and you will have a nice log of your drives.
You could also use the standard outdoor cycling, and have so the GPS track recorded, but unlike the Indoor Cycling activity it would drain the battery rather fast, and I am also not sure whether the GPS reception inside the truck would be good enough.
