The lactate threshold on my watch (forerunner 255) does not synch with Garmin Connect

To be more precise, I did a workout today and my running lactate threshold was modified. It is updated on the watch but when I go to the app or the website the old threshold is registered.

Is there something I can do to force the update it manually?

Thanks for your help

  • Where exactly do you see the wrong value? In the reports here?: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report/49/running/last_four_weeks

Or are you referring to the LTHR value in User Profile » Heart Rate?

  • Hello,

    Thanks for this answer.

On the website it's on the link you sent (which shows it has been last updated a few days ago)

On the watch it's in a widget, after the VO2Max (which is updated correctly yesterday)

On the app it's under the "satistics of performance" > lthr, and it's the same as the website, but not the same as the watch.

  • Try removing the device from Garmin Connect, sign out, then sign in, and add the device back again. Then conduct the Guided Lactate Threshold Test (see it in the Run activity menu under Training), and see whether the value updates correctly.

  • Hello,

    Thanks for this advice.

I did not had to disconnect, reconnect. I did another threshold session with the watch and this time the new lthr was updated both on the app and on the watch.

    Thanks for the tips

  • I'm also having this problem. Lactate graph on website and app aren't updating. Keeps putting the last figure in again meanwhile my watch shows something different. I've removed device and logged out and re installed device but still app and website not updated as per watch. I think it's broken at your end.

  • Please help also.  I've tried what you suggested but hasn't helpped me. App and website just shows the last value different to my new value on the watch.

  • Yes it worked only one time. I have the problem again too...

On the website it's 162 bpm on the watch 172... Quite a difference for a training program Pensive...

  • A bit of a bugger. If you just enter the correct value from the watch into your Lthr setting for your zones you will get the right intensity if you are using Lthr as you preferred zones. I just think their system is broken

  • I just use the watch. From what I see the zones are consistent with other platform and most importantly with what I experience when I run (eg I can speak well on zone 2) so I'll trust the watch...

    But still...

  • I did what was suggested and now my watch sync with app and lost my last lactate value. It went backwards to 7 Nov. Good grief. Watch wrong now too
