How to reverse course in Garmin Connect mobile

5 months ago it was possible to reverse course in Garmin Connect mobile : https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-web/294512/how-to-reverse-course-in-garmin-connect-app

But after last update it seems that the Reverse direction feature for course is no longer availlable in Garmin Connect mobile in version 4.60. If you look at the picture below you see only 3 otpions are available :

Has the feature been deleted completely or it is supposed to be available again in a near future ?

Sill there:

GCM menu » Training & Planning » Courses » your course » triple dot menu top right » Edit » Reverse Direction

If you do not see the Edit menu, after tapping Edit, tap the triple dot symbol bottom right on the Edit screen

I suggest you force stop and restart the app. If it does not help, clear also the cache. If still not OK, reinstall the app.

Some of my courses are reversible from my Garmin Connect app, some are not. Haven't determined the root cause yet.

Could you check whether the ones that are not reversible have the path crossing itself at some point?

A mix of out-and-back and point-to-point courses.

Yes, indeed, I tried with those, with the same result. On the first quick look, I do not see any specific characteristics explaining it, besides that the non-reversible courses have a rather high ID number, hence are probably new. May be just a coincidence. Well, reversing in Garmin Connect Web seems to work, though, so that's a viable workaround. Reversing it directly on the watch could work too, though it has some limitations (esp. in regard of the turn-by-turn navigation).

Like you, I come to the conclusion that some courses are reversible in Garmin Connect and some are not for no apparent reason.

After checking a mix of courses, I noticed that the courses that are reversible have all black dots when you open them as you can see in the picture. What do the black dots mean ?

I’m seeing the same problem. Apparently routes imported from Strava cannot be reversed in the app. They may be reversible in the web Connect. Otherwise reverse in Strava and reimport.

I’m seeing lots of subtle problems introduced when moving routes between apps (eg Komoot, Strava, RWGPS, and Connect). In particular altitude data can be smoothing or delayed. This reversing functionality problem is just another aspect.
